What is Meal Prepping: The Basics

Meal prepping is a great way to save time, energy, and money. Getting started is super simple! Before getting started, I suggest investing in some high quality meal prep containers. These are the ones I use. First, decide what meals you want to prep for. For example, will you be prepping breakfast, lunch and dinner? Maybe just one meal a day? How many people will you be prepping for? I find it easiest to have a meal prep calendar, where I can write out the meals I'll have each day. I have no problem eating the same food for a week which makes it very easy. To decide what to have, I usually look through my pantry and fridge, in order to use up what I have on hand. Then, I look at the sales of the week at my local grocery store, and try to incorporate some of those foods into my meal plan. Once I know my meals, I'll make a grocery list and go shopping! Then, the fun part: get cooking!
